1. They Can Regrow Body Parts!
   Lost a leg? No problem! Axolotls are the regeneration champions of the animal kingdom. They can regrow legs, tails — even parts of their heart and brain!
   
   
2. They Never Grow Up (Literally!)
   Axolotls are like the Peter Pan of pets — they stay in their adorable “baby” form forever. This is called neoteny — a fancy word for “forever young and fabulous.”
   
   
3. They're Named After an Aztec God
   The name "axolotl" comes from an ancient Aztec god called Xolotl, who was known for shape-shifting and trickery. (Axi prefers marshmallows over mischief, but still cool!)
   
   
4. They Breathe Through Gills and Lungs
   Axi can breathe underwater AND at the surface — she’s got cool feathery gills and a set of lungs. She takes oxygen from the surface to adjust her buoyancy! 
   
   
5. They’re Only Found in One Place in the Wild!
   Wild axolotls live only in one place on Earth: the lakes of Xochimilco in Mexico. Sadly, they’re critically endangered — so every plush hug from Axi helps raise awareness!
